What's the problem with polyester?
Polyester is literally made of plastic. This means when you wear it & wash it, it can leach microplastics in the water supply (and your skin). It's also chock full of toxic chemicals (like BPA, bleach and formaldehyde). If you're worried about plastic and avoid things like plastic bottles and tupperware, you should avoid polyester.
Why Merino Wool?
Gym shorts made of wool? We know what you're thinking. But Merino wool is different. It's naturally stretchy, odor resistant, and temperature regulating. And its ultrafine fibers means it doesn't itch like normal wool.
Why is Merino wool better than 100% cotton?
100% cotton is great for some clothes (we even sell some awesome 100% organic cotton shorts!). But it's not ideal for boxers. Cotton can trap sweat & heat - not exactly ideal for the boys downstairs. 100% Merino wool is naturally sweat-wicking and temperature regulating - which is super ideal for activewear.
Do they fit & function like normal boxers?
Yes! We're not reinventing the wheel here - just making it healthier for you. Ryker boxers fit just like the big brands (Lulu, Calvin Klein, etc.) and function just the same. You can wear 'em while lifting, running, or just hanging out. Whatever you do, you can do in Ryker.
How do I care for my boxers?
We recommend a cold wash on a low setting. Don't put Merino wool in the dryer. Instead, just lay it flat to dry. The best part? Due to Merino wool's sweat wicking and odor regulating properties, you only need to wash your boxers every 3-5 wears. Sounds crazy (we know!) but trust us!
